Jinenji and Guy both formalize...for some reason.
I suppose reading is an important occasion.
"We're not supposed to have a TV here! We already have a computer," Guy says nervously.
"Who are you talking to?"
Guy just stares blankly ahead of him.
With that I delete the TV because I didn't read the rules properly the TV mysteriously disappears. Given its near non-existent reception, it is not missed.
Guy can then go to work peacefully.
"First day?" the driver asks.
Guy stares out the window, zoning out. The driver sighs.
Back at home, I check on the other residents.
Ti is desperately searching for a free place to sleep.
Unfortunately she quickly forgets her goal to catch some shut-eye in favor of talking to herself.
"This is...Guy's room? Jinenji's? Uhhh..." she is paralysed by indecision.
While Ti wrestles with bed ownership, Jinenji, Lincoln, and Tammi share lunch together.
"What's with the jacket?" Lincoln questions Tammi, "It's not even cold."
"For you, apparently not. Also, some fashion advice; your outfit's not supposed to be almost as orange as your tan," Tammi sneers.
"At least my tan will go away. Can't say the same for your personality."
"Guys..." Jinenji sighs.
Tammi pastes a smile on her face, "That's alright Jinenji. He doesn't know what he's saying. I'm too above such pettiness to be affected by such nonsense."
Lincoln rolls his eyes. And yet, she's still in here with the rest of us.
Guy comes home not long after with his first paycheck. Good thing too- the house bills are 240 simoleons! That was about 2/3 of the household funds T_T
And then he goes to the bathroom to find this. No one else knows how to fix the bathtub or toilet.
Time for Guy's reading to pay off.
And it better come in handy fast. The lack of toilet facilities is having an adverse effect on the rest of the household.
"Plumbob Jinenji, did you have to pee all over the floor!? Seriously, were you raised in a barn?"
"Moonlight Falls, actually..."
"So basically the same thing."
Jinenji scurries off to change his clothes.
Nice and warm in his outerwear, Jinenji wanders back into the main room. Seeing no one around, he decides to do some stargazing.
He stares through the telescope forlornly, wondering which direction Moonlight Falls is in.
"Hey, the computer is spewing sparks all over the place. The house is probably going to burn down if you don't fix it soon."
Guy just nods. If he's the only one who can fix it...
"Guy! You left your stuff in the bathroom, the bathroom is still flooded!"
Oh crap. He might have left the room in the middle of his repairs.
"Hey, how about the computer!? The bathroom can wait, we're about to die fiery deaths, Guy!" Tammi's protests go ignored.
She huffs, "It's fine. I'm used to people not listening to me. See if I care!" She storms off before anyone can say anything to her.
Guy has more important problems to deal with.
"Tina, I need to fix the bath-,"
"Leave me alone, seizure-face. I'm trying to clean here."
"If, uh, I don't fix the bathtub, the puddles will just get worse..."
Tina grudgingly opens the door.
The repair of the tub takes much longer than it should, Guy constantly forgetting something and having to start all over, but it eventually gets done.
"So are you the family plumber now?" Tina asks testily.
"I guess so..."
"I thought you said you wanted to be a scientist? Or is this as close as you could get?"
"Shut up," he says sulkily, viciously plunging the clogged toilet.
"Is that the best you can come up with? Guess I shouldn't have expected much from someone with stuffing for brains."
"Your brain is stuffing."
Tina just snorts.
With the bathroom all fixed and cleaned up, everyone tries to clamber in at once. Ti, completely unaware of Gregory using the toilet, hums as she washes the dishes.
"..." Gregory opens his mouth to say something, and then closes it. There are no words.
Ti swans out of the bathroom, finally leaving the sink open to wash his hands.
And as soon as she walks out of the bathroom, Ti is screaming at Guy.
"You! You're such a baby! Can't even wash yourself properly!"
"What the-,"
"I know what you did. Don't play innocent with me."
Of course Guy has no idea what she's talking about, but Ti slinks off before he can ask.
Seems like I can't do anything right, he thinks sadly.
He decides to put the arguments and screaming out of his mind by messing around with the science machine.
It reminds him of home...
Something in his chest stirs uncomfortably.
He has no home anymore.

AN: I can't resist making things a bit gloomy, it seems.
The residents run hot and cold with Guy. Sometimes they're super nice to him, other times they're screaming at him for no reason ;_;
Tammi is disliked by nearly everyone in the household, especially Lincoln and Dove. Since Guy is at work a lot, she can't target him with her insults or slaps.
Lincoln plays a lot of piano. Jinenji seems to take turns with him when he's not reading.
Poor Guy, everyone else is useless! Not like he knows what he's doing, but at least he's trying.
ReplyDeleteSeizure-face? xD
Tammi is a real... mess.
When it comes to house repairs, they really are useless! I'm surprised that, given the really crappy stove, everyone seems to be a good cook though!
DeleteXD Not everyone's a fan of the bright green hair...
She is! Her original traits made her quite...the persona.
